Walk for Unity

The Lemon Tree’s 4th Annual

Walk for Unity: Extending Hands Beyond Fear

Sunday, September 17, 2017

4:30-7:00 PM

As members of the Lemon Tree Group in Boulder, Colorado, we invite you, your congregation, student groups, family, your readership, and friends to join us in a walk to build bridges through understanding. See our Website for more details about our group and the event.

This is a non-political event sponsored by the Lemon Tree Group.

The Lemon Tree Group includes Jewish, Muslim, Christian, American, Palestinian, Lebanese and Israeli members who have been meeting for over 7 years.  It was originally started as a gathering in Congregation Nevei Kodesh to read the book The Lemon Tree by Sandy Tolan and to raise money to support Open House in Ramle, Israel, the preschool program at this Israeli-Arab community center whose history is chronicled in the book.

We meet monthly to discuss history and current events in the Middle East from all points of view.  Together we have created a safe and trusting environment to speak our truth, share our food and stay current with an open mind.  The Walk invites the wider community to share in the spirit of The Lemon Tree Group.

Many thanks!  Reggie Gray, Coordinator, The Lemon Tree Group
